My thoughts on the book by CEO of ABSGI was sitting outside the Bridge Park Hotel in North West London, reading DD’s book “Lynch’s Road” and for a few seconds it seemed that the words had transformed into reality as I caught the distinct smell of a spliff waft pass my nose, then catching sight of a young lad hurtle out of an ally way on his BMX bike only stopping long enough to judge whether he could make it across the road before the next car, then darting across the road at full speed off onto the estate in-front of me, “was this DD’s world unfolding in front of my eyes” yeah it probably was, the book is alive and full of the reality that many people live next too, here on the streets of London. The book is a compulsive read and you don’t need to have lived in London to understand and enjoy this book, but it will enlighten, enthral and captive in ways you can’t imagine. My family come from around these parts including central London, Peckham and places closely associated just across the river in Bexley Heath and Dartford, whilst most of my adult life I’ve returned to work in places like Croydon, Wembley, North Acton and on Trafalgar Square. The book is a must read, DD is an amazing author and an even better person in the flesh, full of understanding and eager to change the way we all live for the better
